The Call Center is a multi-lingual, one-stop shop for information about services of the Broward County Commission. It’s the fastest, most convenient way to connect with your County. Just call 311 to reach a highly trained public information professional with answers to all your questions. The Call Center also serves as the Homeless Helpline and becomes a 24/7 hotline in emergencies.

The Regional 911 system is funded and maintained by Broward County which contracts with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to operate the system under performance expectations that meet or exceed national standards. 28 of Broward's 31 municipalities participate in the Regional 911 System. Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, and Plantation do not.

The Accounting Division, which is part of the Finance and Administrative Services Department, maintains the County’s financial records, produces financial reports, processes payroll for County employees and processes all vendor invoices for payment.

The Air Quality Program's mission is to maintain, protect, and improve our air quality by safeguarding human health and the natural environment to enhance the quality of life in Broward County.

Broward County's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and North Perry Airport (HWO), a general aviation airport, form a diverse and dynamic airport system. This airport system serves the needs of 35.9 million passengers and the general aviation community throughout South Florida.

Animal Care provides shelter for homeless pets and helps reunite owners with their lost dog or cat. Animal Care offers spay/neuter services for pets and community cats, as well as neighborhood Rabies Clinics. In addition, the agency enforces animal laws to help support public safety. Animal Care also offers Volunteer and Foster opportunities to those interested in supporting pets in need.

Before an emergency threatens, all Broward County residents should have a plan in place to help ensure their safety, including those who have disabilities and/or health issues that put them at risk in an emergency. All residents should be prepared before basic services such as water, gas, electricity or telephones are cut off for an extended period of time.

The Office of the County Auditor is required by the County Charter, as approved on July 1, 2003. The County Auditor is recommended by an independent board subject to approval by a majority of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners. In order to maintain independence and objectivity in reviews of County operations and administration, the appointed Auditor reports results of activities directly to the full Commission.

This site showcases Broward County select awards and is maintained by the Public Information division that provides professional marketing, communications, digital design, audio visual and video production services, and is the County’s official liaison to media and members of the public.

The County is pleased to offer wireless broadband in the downtown governmental/university campus area and in County buildings in the Broward Municipal Services District. The wireless broadband service, commonly known as “WiFi", offers downtown library users, university students, County employees and the general public free indoor and outdoor access to the Internet to check e-mail, conduct research, or surf the Web wirelessly. The networks were built by County staff.

Broward County has successfully managed its beaches for more than 50 years. Our program of shoreline protection projects provides for the restoration and maintenance of Broward County's shoreline and inlets for infrastructure protection, recreation, environmental benefits, including preservation of critical shorebird and marine turtle habitat.

Employee Benefits Services is a section of Human Resources that specializes in the benefits offered to all Broward County employees including retirees. The County offers a range of employee benefits that include medical insurance, spending accounts and optional plans.

Held annually in Broward County and presented by the County's Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD), the goal of the conference is to advance the reach of the County's numerous business operations within and beyond the region via relevant and useful content delivered in multiple educational formats. Broward County's economy is strengthened by the quantity and diversity of its business community - large and small.​

The Broward County Board of Rules and Appeals is an arm of county government responsible for writing, modifying, and interpreting a uniform body of building codes applicable throughout the County. It also provides educational programs for certified inspectors, contractors, and design professionals to enhance their knowledge and performance.

Broward Addiction Recovery Center (BARC) offers a comprehensive range of services for Broward County residents over the age of 18 who are affected by substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders. Admissions is voluntary. BARC accepts individuals involved with the Criminal Justice system, Department of Children and Families and ChildNet. BARC embraces evidence-based practices.

HIP manages the County’s Homeless Continuum of Care through planning activities and coordinating County, state and federal funding through contracts with community providers. These contracted services support strategies to end homelessness and primarily focus on increasing client self-sufficiency and placement in permanent housing.

Broward County Transit’s mission is to provide safe and reliable transportation solutions that link people, connect communities, support employment and contribute to the overall economic growth of our region.

BrowardNext is Broward County's Land Use Plan. This Plan is a collaborative effort between the County and its municipalities and reflects current and anticipated growth and regional priorities. These priorities address a wide range of issues including transportation, affordable housing, climate change and (re)development.​

Building Code ensures construction in the Broward Municipal Services District (unincorporated Broward County) and also contract cities conform to the FL Building Code and other applicable regulations; mandates in Chapter 399 of the FL Statutes regarding elevator safety are monitored and strictly enforced; and regulation of Chapter 9 Contractors of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development works with other County agencies and community partners to support and recruit businesses, promote job growth, diversify the County's industrial mix and expand the local tax base.
