The Broward County Animal Care Volunteer Program brings people together with a common goal of improving the lives of animals at our shelter. Our four pillars of service are Community Animal Care, Equitable Services, Public Safety, and World-Class Shelter Operations.
Volunteering with Broward County Animal Care is a great way to give back to your community, earn student service hours, gain job experience, or simply spend time helping animals.

Youth under the age of 16 are not eligible to volunteer. However, they can still support our shelter pets by hosting a donation drive or fundraiser to benefit the animals.
Youth under 16 may also earn community service hours by fostering a shelter pet through our Foster Program. Visit our Foster Page to learn more about fostering and how you and your family can help save a life.
